TCS is a group of three artistic female collaborators composed of Téa Devereaux, Chryssa Hadjis, and Simrin Player, all graduates of the University of Southern California and based in Los Angeles. As a collective, they have created and performed at The Laguna Dance Festival and SteelCraft Land of the Arts. Their work embodies the strength of collaboration through the use of their unique, diverse approach to movement that highlights agency and empowerment.
Lara Sarkissian is an electronic musician, DJ and broadcaster born and raised in San Francisco; currently based in Los Angeles. She founded experimental electronic dance platform CLUB CHAI; a record label and event series with an international network of artists that artistically hybridized and archived non-Western sonic worlds within electronic dance culture. She has released with labels Tresor, Knekelhuis, All Centre, TT, SOS Music and more. Lara is currently a resident on NTS Radio, a home for her narrative-style programs showcasing dance/electronic from around the globe - and mixing across dub, techno, house, dnb, bass, jungle, noise, hailing from the underground and a reflection of her collaborations with artists in the respected genres. She has DJ'd nights for Tresor, Hyperdub, Unsound Festival, MoMA PS1, Roskilde Festival, Boiler Room broadcasts and more.
Carol Ohair uses words, music and politics to tell a story and provoke an emotion. As a social and political psychologist, Carol experiments with tension and release with her listeners as a form of performative storytelling. As a producer, Carol is a genre-bender, a sound poet creating musical pieces containing hybrid combinations of styles to tell different narratives and bend different boundaries with a nostalgic hint.
