Join us for a walk based on locations and sites mentioned in NELA Stories participant interviews featuring project participants and additional guests, organized by Maryam Hosseinzadeh for the Compass Rose exhibition.
About the Walk Organizer: Maryam Hosseinzadeh is a resident of Northeast Los Angeles who organizes walks as a way of bringing people together through research, reflection, and conversation. While she grew up in Altadena, she has lived in most of the neighborhoods of Northeast Los Angeles for the past thirteen years (currently in Glassell Park), and also has early childhood memories and a heart connection to this neighborhood that predates that time. She has organized past walks in Northeast Los Angeles on Figueroa in Highland Park in 2011 and 2017 in Glassell Park.
