Join us on August 2nd to explore the science behind the OPTICS installation in this hands on workshop for youth ages 9 - 12. In this workshop, we will learn how light waves move and how we can bend, block and and bounce light waves using different materials and surfaces.

This workshop is FREE to youth ages 9 - 12. Registration is required.

About the facilitator

Steph Muscat

Steph Muscat is a tinkerer and creative educator based in Los Angeles. In her role at the Exploratorium's Tinkering Studio, she designs activities, spaces, and materials that support learners of all ages in overcoming the barrier of trepidation to tackle something new. She previously collided art, science, and wonder at the Nature Lab while completing her MFA in Digital + Media at RISD and studied early childhood cognition at Stanford University.
