An evening of shorts and music videos curated by Womxn in Windows founder Zehra Zehra, exploring resistance through rhythm.
Please join us for an evening of short films and music videos highlighting the works of women and nonbinary artists and directors. The videos use dance and the body to express ideas that are important to each artist. Through these works we are called to explore acts of resistance through movement and sexuality as a response to identity, patriarchy, colonisation and our current political climate.
Videos include works by Meriem Bennani, Amara Abbas, Zeina Aref, Sharon Hakim, Pallaví aka Fijiana, and Janelle Monáe.
Doors open at 5:30pm. You are welcome to arrive early and view the current exhibition, for the sake of dancing in the street.
